Grew up on an organic dairy farm in northern California. Although I have a love for this lifestyle and admiration for the work of farmers, I pursued a path of engineering. Graduated from Benedictine College in Kansas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. With a civil engineering and manufacturing engineer internship under my belt, I realized I didn't want to sit behind a computer designing components I would never actually work on. So instead of working as an engineer, I took a job as a Field Service Representative at Solar turbines Inc. working on industrial gas turbines that power generators and gas compressors.
